Live Life Therapy is hosting a gathering at Bemidji State University. The event is geared towards the professional who works in greater Native MN across urban and rural sectors to meet the needs of our aging disabled and elder members. We want to gather to discuss what is currently working and what isn’t with regard to waivers and obtaining benefits. We also want to share resources on Assistive Technology and Durable Medical Equipment solutions and providers.
We will also facilitate conversations about Home and Community Waivers along with MN Choice assessments but really this is a time to elevate Tribal leadership voices and bring back key components in hopes state will address.
When: Monday, November 18, 2024. Start time 9:00 a.m., Closing at 1:00 p.m.
Where: Bemidji University; Upper Hobson Union building (#10 on the map); Northern Conference room, room 203.
We encourage each of you to arrive by 8:30-8:45 a.m. We will have coffee, tea, water, and bagels to enjoy.
At the close of the meeting, we will have a boxed lunch and water for each attendee. (There is a vegetarian option.) We hope some or all of you can stay and continue sharing over lunch, but it is boxed for you to take on-the-go if that works better.
Anyone is welcome to bring their own refillable water bottle and/or any snacks they may wish to have, or that fit their personal dietary needs.
Please contact us with any questions.
